High Places

Posted on November 12, 2019November 12, 2019 by xvanderputt

As I climb to the peak of this mountain
The place where we meet face to face
Assured of nothing, yet everything
That will be found in your mercy and grace
Fill me with a light that leaves no shadows
That leaves no part unscathed
Just this once let there be no darkness
nothing hidden from your consuming gaze
Clear from me the clarity
that blinds my truthful view
grant me feet that walk on worldly ground
but a heart that still seeks you.
