Genesis 15 – Abrams vision

Posted on October 12, 2021October 12, 2021 by xvanderputt

God reaffirms His promise to Abram, this time with a vision, a visual reminder of the covenant. Abrams question to God about his childlessness reminds us of Marys response to the Angel Gabriel. “I trust that you can, but I don’t know or understand how”

I wonder how much of a reflection is that of us in any given situation.

“I know you love me Lord but….”

“I know you are good God but….”

“I know you can God but….”

How many of Gods promises do you need to hear repeated over and over?

For me, that’s quite a lot, but I’m encouraged by Gods patience with Abram as he awaits the fulfilment of all that will be given to him.
