Fr Elijah, Michael D. OBrien

Posted on January 29, 2020January 29, 2020 by xvanderputt

Imagine Dan Brown, baptised and deeply encountering Jesus…….this is what he would be writing. Michael D. OBrien writes a fast paced novel following Fr Elijah through incredible but believable trials.
What I loved, loved, loved about this book was how I felt I’d somehow ticked my spiritual reading box but without the effort of deep, painful concentration trying to grasp the message.
From the monastry on Carmel, to Rome, Assisi, london amongst others finishing over looking Jerusalem its the most unputdownable book ive read in a long time….but word of caution, ensure you have the folow up “Elijah in Jerusalem” ready as the ending leaves you searching the cover for missing pages.
