Genesis 7 – Forty days and Forty nights

Posted on April 6, 2020May 2, 2020 by xvanderputt

Noahs time of preparation eventually comes, eight people and the selected animals climb aboard the Ark and as the rain starts to fall God closes the door. Can you imagine the fear or remorse Noah and his family would have felt about those they had worked and lived alongside perishing outside. It is God who makes the call on salvation, it is not us who closes that door for others or decides who comes in or who doesn’t. Through Christ the doors are open for all who wish to enter into the safety of the boat, The Church.

How do we invite people in ? Do we diligently and obediently work for the Lord so that through our witness we can at least peak a curiosity ? What kind of boat are we building ?
