We may not be lighting so many candles
But He is still leading us from darkness to light
We may not be raising the roof with praise
Oh but we can raise up our hearts
We may not be filling baskets with our offerings
But how much more valuable is our gratitude as a gift
We may not be adorning our churches with flowers
But there is such beauty in where each of us has grown
Our priests won’t be kneeling to wash our feet
But so many of us are out washing the feet of others
We may not be processing to venerate the cross
We can however embrace our own without complaint
So we won’t have those rousing Easter hymns
The angels though are still singing at what HE has done
We won’t get to worship together in one place
But we are still one body
We won’t be able to receive His Body and Blood
That doesn’t change that it was given up for you
We may not be able to enter Gods house this Easter
But HE can and will if invited, enter ours.
